40 It wasn’t long before I moved with Tara, my beautiful wife, to Mexico City to teach. Soon we had two amazing children and our families celebrated. Tara’s parents were so happy that we would continue the family tradition of teaching about the importance of the rainforest. Zappy was sad but understood. He would look forward to my visits in the summer but seemed to know that life was changing. I thought about him often and wondered if he might be lonely. But life was getting busy for me and I had new responsibilities. But then something happened. Tara and I really missed the rainforest. We missed our families too. What should we do? “Maybe I could find a teaching job near the rainforest,” I said one day, looking at Tara. “Then we could still help people save the rainforests!” added Tara. “Yes, and all the resources it has, such as medicines.” I found a teaching job and we moved back to my childhood village. Our families were very, very happy—especially, the grandparents!
